TOOLING TESTING FOR FINAL VALIDATION
The testing phase of the final tooling is a crucial phase in the success of a project.
This is why for our customers’ projects, we carry out the manufacturing of pre-runs which result in a modification or validation of the tooling before going into run production, depending on the results obtained.
FIRST PART VALIDATION
The most important phase of a project is the validation of the first item (also known as FAI – First Article Inspection).
The principle is to validate several aspects of the part:
– Dimensions (according to the plan)
– Aesthetics
– Colour
The “first piece validation” has two objectives:
– Validation of the part (first copies released)
– Tool validation
It is during this step that the injection parameters are established (establishment of a settings guide for each project to ensure consistent quality).
